Located between Elbe and Ashford Washington is a uniqe destination you may want to put on your to do list this Summer. I’ve driven past this imaginative outdoor museum on the way to Mt Rainier for years but have never taken the time to stop.
Last week, I was visiting one of my new vacation home listings in Elbe Washington and decided to check things out.
Metal Sculpture in Elbe
The gift shop was closed and parking lot was empty, it was the perfect day to visit and spend some time marvelling over the creativity the artist has on display.
Rather than working in clay, oils or watercolors our local artist Dan Klennert, expressess himself in driftwood and metal sculptures. If you look carefully, you will see parts of heavy machinery, appliances and scrap steel welded together into unique art.
Here’s a few of my favorites I found.
Metal Horse Sculpture
Big Bike
Hog Rider with Mt Rainier in the Background

Next time you’re on your way to Mt Rainier to take in the sights, make sure to stop by this original NorthWest outdoor art gallery. Make sure to bring along a few bucks for the donation jar, it’s money and time well spent.
Please donate...Or Else.
